There are many resources available that talk about the seven main chakras, which are located on the physical body, however, there are many other chakras, some of which are located outside your physical body, including the Soul Star Chakra and the Earth Star chakra.
WHAT IS THE EARTH STAR CHAKRA?
The Earth Star Chakra is located about 6-12 inches below your feet, underneath the root chakra. This chakra has also been called the “super root”, with its Sanskrit name being Vasundhara, which literally translates to "Daughter of the Earth”. The Earth Star Chakra acts as an anchor for your entire energetic body and connects you with the Earth, and all of humanity. It is often associated with dark, earthy colors such as black and brown, but has also been associated with a deep magenta as well.
EARTH STAR VS. ROOT CHAKRA - WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
Because both the earth star and root chakras relate to grounding, there is some confusion about what each chakra’s specific purpose is and how they differ.
The root chakra’s main focus is your personal stability and security, helping you feel safe and supported both physically and emotionally. It is, however, all about the self.
Here’s where the earth star chakra is different than the root. While the root is about the self, and our basic survival needs, the earth star goes a step further, anchoring and grounding you into the core of the earth and providing you with a deeper sense of grounding and connection to something greater than yourself, including community, family, and friends.
This chakra also helps to manage your energies by getting rid of negative energy and channeling positive energy up from the earth. As a conduit for this positive energy, the earth star chakra gives us the ability to stay present in day-to-day tasks and routines, which is beneficial for self-awareness and clear thinking.
The earth star chakra has also been known to connect you with your past lives and ancestors, which is beneficial in healing your ancestral and karmic baggage and connecting you with your soul’s purpose on earth. Some also equate this chakra with manifestation, since clearing it allows for a clear channel for higher consciousness to come through while anchoring you in the physical plane.
